HELP WITH URGENT DENTAL CARE
Do you have an emergency and do you wish to see an emergency dentist in Amsterdam on very short notice? At Plantage Middenlaan Dental Practice we always have room for emergencies within opening hours.
Our specialists are ready to provide you with dental care in case you have an emergency or experience acute pain.
WHEN IS SOMETHING AN EMERGENCY?
We are often asked in which cases you can see an emergency dentist. Below you will find an overview of cases that justify an emergency treatment and in which cases you can stop by at a later time.
Emergencies:
- Teeth that are loose or knocked out because of an accident or blow
- Acute inflammation including fever
- Swollen cheek with severe, sustainable pain
- Bleeding after the removal of molars or teeth
Not emergencies:
- A piece of tooth or molar has broken off
- Fillings that have fallen out
- Loose crowns and bridges
If you are in doubt, we advise you to contact us by phone. We will then discuss the problem with you and estimate whether an emergency treatment is necessary.
If your symptoms do not qualify as an emergency, you can usually still come by on the same day or one of the following days. Call 020 420 4367 for an appointment.
DO I HAVE TO BE A CLIENT AT PLANTAGE MIDDENLAAN DENTAL PRACTICE?
You can also come to us if you are not yet registered as a client. You do have to take the following:
- Valid identity papers
- Healthcare card
COSTS OF AN EMERGENCY TREATMENT
There are no additional costs in the case of an emergency; the costs of an emergency treatment are the same as the costs of a regular treatment. Your healthcare insurer also reimburses an emergency treatment in the same way as a regular treatment.
If you are not a client at Plantage Middenlaan Dental Practice, please take into account that you will have to pay immediately after the emergency treatment. You can pay by debit card or by credit card; paying cash is not possible.
OPENING HOURS & CONTACT
At Plantage Middenlaan Dental Practice, you can always come to us with an emergency within opening hours.
Outside our opening hours we would like to refer you to Lassus Tandartsen. They are open from 8 am to 9:30 pm on Monday to Thursday, on Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm, on Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm and from 10 am to 3pm on Sunday. To schedule an appointment please call 020 471 3137. At all other times, we would like to refer you to Dental365,Piet Heinkade 215, 1019 HM Amsterdam.
